今年の１月は着物の型紙が袷（あわせ、裏地あり）に対応しました。
袷には
- ひかえ：裏地が２ｍｍだけ隠れるようにずらす
- ふき：裏地が３mmだけ出るようにずらす
という細かな技法がありますが、それを型紙で当店は業界初、世界初で盛り込みました。
これで満足していたのもつかの間、最近お客さんから
胴裏・八掛の袷もやってね！
との依頼を受けました。
そこで、
- 表地・裏地を分離
- 裏地を胴裏・八掛に分離
という工程を経て、このように型紙に盛り込みました。
身頃が上下に分かれているのが伝わりますでしょうか。
需要があるのかないのか、リリースしてみないと分かりませんが、とにかく業界初で世界初でぶっちぎりです＾＾
※型紙は完成しましたが作り方動画ができていないので、販売開始は次の冬～春です。
This January, our kimono sewing pattern gained support for awase (lined kimono).
Awase involves some fine techniques:
- Hikae: shifting the lining so that just 2 mm of it stays hidden
- Fuki: shifting the lining so that just 3 mm of it peeks out
We built these into a sewing pattern, a first in the industry and in the world.
My satisfaction didn’t last long, though. Recently a customer asked me:
Please do awase with dōura and hakkake too!
(Dōura is the upper body lining, and hakkake is the lining for the lower part and hem.)
So I went through these steps:
- Separate the outer fabric from the lining
- Split the lining into dōura and hakkake
And built it into the pattern like this.
Can you see how the body panel is now split into upper and lower parts?
I won’t know whether there’s demand until I release it, but either way, it’s a first in the industry and in the world, way ahead of the pack ^^
*Although the pattern is complete, the instructional video is not yet ready, so sales will begin sometime between next winter and spring.
