画像判定AIが来る3か月後まで / Until the image analysis AI arrives in three months

リユース着物の着用写真を生成

今日は機能改善や新規リリースではなく、撤退のお知らせです。

1か月ほど前に、リユース着物をAIで着用画像にして見せるサービスをリリースしました。

 

例えばこんな商品写真を、

 

こんな感じに、モデルさんに着せてしまいます。

 

しかしこれは毎回うまくはいきません。

失敗することもあります。例えばこの着物写真から生成しようとすると、

 

こんなんなってしまいます。色も柄も全然違います。

 

あとはこんな着物から生成すると、

こんなんなります。たぶん周囲の緑色に影響を受けてしまい、緑色が濃くなっています。

 

それを全ての着物ごとに人間の目でアリかナシかをチェックし、クリックしていく作業が必要です。

 

その割に商品は1点ものですぐに売り切れてしまいます。

商品の出入りが激しいので、とても人の手を介在できないのです。

 

そこで現れたのが「判断AI」。アリかナシかを判定できます。

でも、文章の判定はできますが、画像はまだできません。

どうやら3か月後にはできるかもです。

 

そこに期待して、いったん撤退という話でした＾＾

Generating try-on photos for reused kimonos

Today isn’t about a feature improvement or a new release—it’s a shutdown notice.

About a month ago, I released a service that turns reused kimonos into AI try-on images.

 

For example, take a product photo like this,

 

and it puts the kimono on a model like this.

 

But it doesn’t always work.

Sometimes it fails. For example, when we try generating from this kimono photo,

 

we get something like this. The color and pattern are completely off.

 

And when we generate from a kimono like this,

we get this. It was probably influenced by the surrounding green, so the green came out too strong.

 

So for every kimono, someone has to eyeball each result as pass or fail and click through them one by one.

 

And for all that work, each item is one-of-a-kind and sells out quickly.

Inventory turns over so fast that human review just isn’t sustainable.

 

That’s where “judgment AI” comes in. It can decide pass or fail.

But while it can judge text, it can’t do images yet.

Apparently that might be possible in about three months.

 

So I’m betting on that, and stepping back for now ^^
