What should I order for kimono, silk, cotton or polyester?

This time I got interesting questions from my customer, and I share my answers with you.

I would love to have one from silk but it depends what it would cost.
There is no mass production for silk kimono, so it’s sewn by hand.
And the cost would start with 100,000 yen roughly.
I don’t recommend to order such a expensive kimono as the first one online, because we can’t tell your exact size.
You can tell the size you want, based on the first kimono.
For example, you want 3cm longer sleeve, and body width should be 5cm shorter, and so on.
This turns out after you wear kimono and tie an obi belt.
Could u make some offers for silk, polyester and cotton.
There is no mass production of cotton men kimono, either.
So the price would be start with 40,000 yen (only kimono. you need to purchase obi, setta, tabi, koshi himo, juban and etc.)
There is mass production of polyester men kimono.
The price is about 10,000 yen only for kimono.
Please specify
– silk
– cotton
– polyester
and optionally what you want to wear
– hakama
– haori & haori himo (strap)
so that I can make a quote.
The following is included as a basic set.
– tabi (socks)
– koshi himo (waist string)
– obi belt
– juban (undergarment)
– suteteko (undergarment. this is like a half trouser)
– setta (sandal)
Or, you can start with yukata, that’s simpler.
– yukata
– obi
– setta
That’s all.
Do you need some information about my wearing sizes?
Yes, I’d like to know;
– how tall you are
– waist
– your weight (if you don’t mind)
The purpose is to know we don’t need hand-sewing (tailor-made).
If your body is within normal range, you can choose mass production kimono, that’s reasonable.
