Bolts of Fabric (Before Tailoring into Kimono)
Kimono and haori are tailored from a long piece of cloth called tanmono.
Since tanmono is still in its unsewn state, it cannot be worn as-is.
Once you choose your preferred tanmono, we can tailor it into a one-of-a-kind garment using our original patterns and tailoring service.

Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)
Q. What is a tanmono?
A. A tanmono is generally a piece of cloth measuring 36 cm wide and approximately 12 meters long. It is sold rolled up, and one roll (called ittan) is just enough to make one kimono.
Note: Depending on the garment—such as haori or children's wear—there may be leftover fabric or a shortage.
