Elephant Ears Giant Alocasia or Macrorrhiza Maki is also known as Giant Taro. A very imposing architectural plant with huge upright, glossy dark green leaves with pale green veins on rigid stems. Growth rate during the summer months can be quite astonishing-will grow to 6' tall. Varieties are hardy in zones 7-10 as perennials and suitable in zones 4-6 as annuals. They are popular as annuals due to their rapid growth-colocasia makes a dramatic impact to the landscape within just one season.

Colocasia Nancy's Revenge a stunner, this Colocasia has light green leaves that show off the buttercream yellow of the midrib and side veins. A must have!

Nancy’s Revenge Colocasia esculenta The intricate and unusual 'Nancy's Revenge' is an exceptionally ornamental elephant ear that was discovered in the Caribbean by aroid enthusiast, Jerry Kranz, and named after his business partner, Nancy McDaniels. It may also be sold under the name, ‘Nancyana.’ Each striking leaf is solid green when it first emerges and eventually develops a broad, creamy colored, blotch along the central midvein that radiates into the peripheral veins

Mojito Colocasia esculenta If you're looking to add another wild and crazy elephant ear to your garden, drink up. (pronounced "Mo-he-toe") Named after the popular Cuban mixed drink. You must grow this plant—if only to be able to tell everyone that you have a mojito waiting for them in the garden. Its green leaves are set off by dark flecks and purple stems. The speckled patterns, splotches, and streaks vary from leaf to leaf, so no two ever look quite the same.

Blue Hawaii Colocasia esculenta Has large green leaves with prominent bluish-purple veins, an undulating bluish-purple margin, matte finish. Requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between watering. Very high moisture needs; suitable for bogs and water gardens.

Alocasia Plumbea Nigra Leaves that are so dark green they seem black. The stunning leaves appear almost metallic and sit upon strong purple stems. This elephant ear is practically foolproof, and extremly hardy. A must for any gardener!

Sedum Mexicanus 'Lemon Ball' - sun, 6"x24-36" spread, slow growing, VERY well drained rocky / drier soil, hardy to 20 degrees. Late spring gets yellow flowers. e/green.

Fatsia japonica - ps/shade, 4-8'x2-6', moist slightly acidic soil, e/green, hardy. does get white flowers in fall but not very noticable. easy plant as long as soil moist.

Alpinia vittate or Alpinia sanderae (‘Marble Ginger’ or ‘Striped Narrow Leaf Ginger’) - ps/shade (3 hrs sun better), moist fertile well drained soil, z10-11 (not as hardy as zerumbet), narrow white & green leaves, pink flower, 5' x 5', fast grower.
